6. Attend All of my Classes

Sorry for the lack of email/postings. The internet is so so shoddy.
And when I am able to retrieve my emails it's likely that I can't send
them. I have a feeling Graham from the tech center will be a close
friends by the end of the trip.

The days at sea alternate between A and B class days. I've had one
day of each so far. I'm taking the following classes:

Anthropology

Global Finance

Women's Literature of the World

Global Studies (everyone has to take this class)

One of the really cool things about the teachers is that they come
from so many different schools and many of them are highly esteemed.
The person in the writing center is actually very well known
throughout the writing community.

There is a crazy amount of reading for all of my classes. Too much.
Not having books makes it difficult to do my homework. The textbook
store is open to all students tomorrow so I'm praying they still have
the books I need. If not I'll have to check them out from the library
(which has a two hour limit for textbooks) so that'll be awesome.

We have to attend two faculty directed practicum for each class.
These are usually day trips to something of relevance to the class in
the country.

Sorry this is so scattered.

Fun Fact: My ID has the worst picture ever of me. It is the one on
my Brazilian visa (Mom and Dad can vouch for how awful it is) AND it's
stretched out. It is SOOOOO bad. When I originally picked up my ID I
saw the pic and said "oh my god." The guy who was handing them out
automatically knew what I was referring to and said, "I think you can
get a new ID if you go to the pursers desk." I think that's only if
it doesn't work though. I'm pretty sure if I went down and said, "Umm
I really hate this picture. Can I get a new one?" they would say no.
I think the crew people secretly laugh at me when I scan my card to
get off the ship. Not cool.
